We have several rigid and flexible endoscopes which are used for examining the respiratory or gastrointestinal tract, taking samples and removing foreign bodies.

Endoscopes can enable us to perform procedures less invasively than an operation.

Jo Dean is our main ultrasonographer. Ultrasound allows us to visualise internal organs, it is particularly useful for examination of the abdomen and heart.

We have a digital x-ray machine which allows us to process x-rays very quickly. It provides good detail for diagnosing problems with bone and internal organs.

We have an up-to-date laboratory with facilities for routine blood tests, urine tests, microscopy. Any samples for external laboratories are processed and packaged here.

We have a dedicated exotics ward to reduce stress levels for animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs, keeping them away from the predator species of cats and dogs. It also enables us to keep these patients warmer while they are recovering from procedures. We also have a couple of vivariums for any reptile in-patients.

We have two permanent, fixed oxygen cages and several mobile cages to enable us to provide stress-free supplemental oxygen for any animals with breathing problems. These cages can be life-savers.

We have a large kennel area with different-sized kennels to accommodate a range of in-patients. These kennels are hygienic and easy to monitor the patients. We have a separate isolation facility for any animals with infectious diseases.
