History Of The Practice

The practice was founded in 1952 by Reg Tayler and was originally located at 83 Parrock Street,Gravesend, with a branch surgery at Reg's home in New Barn.

Bob Davidson formed a partnership with Reg Tayler in 1967 and in 1977 was joined by David Mason. Jo Dean joined the practice in 1979.

When the practice outgrew the Parrock Street premises which had no car parking and cramped accomodation on 4 levels it was decided that a move was essential. New premises were purchased extended and modernised and The Shrubbery Veterinary Centre at 65 Perry Street, Northfleet was opened in 1986. In the following years Northfleet has been extended 3 times new consulting, storage laboratory and cattery facilities being provided.

In 1996 a branch surgery was opened at 5 The Link, New Ash Green. The practice is currently an approved training centre for Veterinary Nurse training.
